Song: (Sittin' on) The dock of the bay
Artist: Otis Redding
Composers: Otis Redding and Steve Cropper
Tabbed by DJ ('DiddyD' on ultimateGuitar-) 27th Mar 2015
NOTE: Emphasise the bass notes of each chord.
In the Choruses the (G *)(G/F)and(G/F#) in brackets are just optional
passing bass notes, and not intended to be played as full chords.
Any inversions of the main chords will work fine, I just prefer to
use mainly barre chords for the Verses, and then the 1st inversions
for the descending bass notes in the Choruses.
The G/D in the intro and the E/B in the coda are the standard
G and E chords just emphasising the alternating bass note.
For the Asus4 chords in Verse 2 hammer-on on the 2nd string.
G = 320033 A = 577655 A * = x02220
G/D = xx0033 E = 022100 Asus4 = x02230
G ** = 355433 (G *) = 3xxxxx C * = x32010
B = 799877 (G/F#)= 2xxxxx D = xx0232
C = 8-10-10-9-8 (G/F) = 1xxxxx F = 133211
Bb = 688766 E/B = x22100
